Atlas series

The Atlas system is the ultimate imaging colorimeter with an integrated NIST-traceable calibrated spectrophotometer [380-780nm] and a fast sampling light meter, combining three fundamentally different devices into one solution giving it unprecedented capabilities and flexibility. Main applications are display testing [including LED panel] and Luminous Surface testing.

  • Displays and LED panels can be tested with the Atlas on luminance and colour uniformity (including Mura), response time and flicker. This ultimate all-in-one solution makes it possible to integrate all display tests, including VCOM adjustment and white point adjustment into one display test station minimizing system investments and factory footprint.
  • Any [large] luminous surface such as back-lit textiles [including matrix projection] or OLED luminaires can be tested on luminance and colour uniformity, flicker analysis and start-up behaviour.

This flexibility makes the Atlas the ultimate all-in-one measurement device for testing any light luminous surface in both laboratory and production environments. Like all Admesy devices the Atlas is designed to be quickly integrated into a production environment because of the robust mechanics, reliable electronics, and production-ready software architecture.

Rhea series

Admesy’s Rhea is the new flexible platform in configurable spectral measurement demands within the range between 200 and 1100nm. Various choices in slit size, gratings and sensors allow you to build the perfect spectral measurement solution for your specific high-end measurement application or OEM integration. The Rhea series is available in a variety of optical configurations: 10 or 20mm collimating lenses, cosine corrector and fibre connectors. This flexibility makes the Rhea the ultimate high-end spectroradiometer for OEM integration, display, lighting and appearance measurements in both laboratory and production settings.

Rhea configurable spectroradiometers

The Rhea series is a modular spectroradiometer and its diversity is almost unlimited. Admesy can configure the Rhea with almost any grating or slit and deliver it with calibration as spectroradiometer or without as spectrometer. A large amount of standard gratings and slits are available. Next to that additional detectors will be available in the near future. Please consult our distributor network or sales engineers for your specific configuration. For OEM customers we additionally offer customized electrical, mechanical and firmware designs as well as system integration support.

Rhea at a glance

The Rhea spectroradiometer has a Czerny-Turner configuration. Its optical bench consists of a slit, a mirror, a grating, a second mirror, a collector lens, a linear variable filter [OSF] and a cooled detector. In front of the optical bench a filter wheel with ND filters is located. Additional components [fibre, lens] are used to improve total system performance.

System response & detector

The system response is mainly determined by the grating and the detector response. In the Rhea specification you can see the system response for each grating. In the system response we have included the detector, grating and the mirrors. This data is based on simulation data and is only meant for realistic indication purposes. The Rhea uses cooled CCD detectors from Hamamatsu. Currently the Rhea supports detectors for the range of 200-1100nm. Quantum efficiency of the detector is illustrated in the graph below.

Slit size

The slit size defines the amount of light entering the optical bench and influence the FWHM. Admesy’s OEM spectrometer engines can be configured with various slit sizes. The table below shows the approximated FWHM values per slit size and grating type.

Gratings

The grating disperses the light into individual wavelengths. The amount of dispersion is determined by the number of grooves. The blaze wavelength determines the optimal efficiency at a certain wavelength. Admesy keeps on extending its stock of gratings. If a grating is not on the list or you require something different please contact our distributor or sales engineers to see what the possibilities are.

Dispersion range

The higher the number of grooves the wider the dispersion. However, this also limits the range of wavelengths which can be resolved because the detector has a fixed width. For a broad wavelength range low groove gratings can be used and for a detailed analysis of a small wavelength range high grooves gratings can be used. This range is defined as the dispersion range. The number of grooves also has influence on the FWHM.

Filter wheel

The Rhea contains a filter wheel with 4 ND filters (OD1, OD2, OD3 and OD4) to enable a huge dynamic range. The fifth and sixth position on the filter wheel are for fully open and close. Each ND filter is fully calibrated so no spectral difference is visible between ND filter wheel positions.

Start & stop wavelength

Start and stop wavelength are depending on the grating choice and alignment. For example, a grating with a dispersion range of 200nm can be used from 300nm to 500nm as well as from 400nm to 600nm. In order to keep every system the same we have also implemented a start and stop wavelength. These start and stop wavelengths are defined by an additional configuration order code which, combined with the Rhea order code, ensures that the Rhea is configured with the exact required wavelength range.

System configuration

The table below describes each grating with its corresponding range. The Code is specified as the grooves per mm and Blaze wavelength. Both are divided by 10 in the code. Additionally the type of grating can be chosen. H stands for holographic and R for ruled. Currently Admesy supports only holographic gratings. Note 1: Combine this data with the system response graphs to check whether your required range is feasible with respect to the total spectral system efficiency. Note 2: The dispersion range includes a safety margin. More detailed information can be found in the Rhea specification.

Rhea preconfigured spectroradiometers

Admesy offers a number of available preconfigured / application based spectroradiometers. This includes for example a standard VIS spectrophotometer as well as a broadband spectroradiometer and spectrometers for Raman applications. Hera series

The Hera series is a highly accurate spectroradiometer with auto range function and excellent linearity in a robust and compact housing. Due to this combination the Hera can be used in a broad range of applications varying from R&D research to non-stop use in production environments. *The Hera type 01 is also available as special Cronus series spectro-colorimeter. Additional to the spectrophotometer engine, the Cronus includes a high speed tri-stimulus colorimeter for high speed colour and flicker measurements. The Cronus series spectro-colorimeter is available in different optical configurations serving display and lighting applications.

Cronus series

The Cronus is world’s first spectro-colorimeter combining a VIS spectrophotometer with a tri-stimulus colorimeter. This unique combination allows the user to choose between detailed spectral information of the spectroradiometer and high speed colour, light and flicker measurements of the colorimeter. The Cronus is well suited for lighting and display applications where both speed and accuracy is needed. The Cronus is available in a fibre, lens and cosine corrector version. Just as other Admesy products it is developed with industrial use in mind combining measurement excellence with ease of use, minimal calibration needs in a compact and robust design. The Cronus offers high end laboratory results with a workforce attitude.

The Cronus Bhaskar is the latest addition to the Admesy Cronus series which can be considered a mix between an integrating sphere and typical cosine corrector measurement systems, optimized for fast, accurate and repeatable inline measurements of LED bulbs. The optical configuration of the Cronus Bhaskar is designed to cover an entire typical E27 [or similar size] fitting light bulb, acting like an integrator. Offering accurate and repeatable measurements in terms of colour, total light output and optional flicker and start-up behaviour within a couple of milliseconds.

MSE series

The MSE Series colorimeter offers a unique combination of high speed and accurate colour measurement capabilities packed in a robust jacket. The MSE colorimeter is available in 10mm spot size and MSE+ with Wide Dynamic Range in 10mm and 20mm spot size. Thanks to its supreme quality, robustness of both hardware and software and its compact size, the MSE is the ultimate choice for in-line colour measurement applications. Thanks to its build-in mechanical shutter, dark measurements are carried out easily and accurately. The MSE Series are predominantly found inline in display production facilities, their customers or the adjacent R&D departments to handle white point adjustment, uniformity, flicker, reaction time and general colour quality control.

Asteria series

Admesy’s Asteria is a high-speed measurement device suited for luminance, illuminance and flicker measurements. Based on the popular Admesy platform the Asteria is designed for in-line use with integrated calculating power for easy implementation and high speed measurement results in production settings. The Asteria is available in multiple configurations: the lens based system is capable of measuring luminance [cd/m²] and flicker, its cosine corrector configuration allows illuminance [lux], luminous intensity [cd] and flicker measurements. Fibre versions are also available to connect to remote cosine correctors, lens systems or connect to integrating spheres.

Steropes LED series

Obtaining good measurement results requires good and stable lighting. With this in mind Admesy developed the Steropes LED light source, which is a stable, accurate light source controlled by a built-in colorimeter resulting in a very high stability of the light output. With the Steropes LED the user is certain to have a light output at 0,1% accuracy. Combined with our colorimeters or spectrometers the stabilized light of the Steropes offers the best measurement results where stable light is needed.
